About Us
In 1963, forced by a severe drought, Johann (Hoed) Conradie bought a five-ton Thames Trader truck and started Conradie Vervoer, doing seasonal work for the Robertson farming community.
In 1997, Anton Conradie bought the business from his father and started doing business as Anton Conradie Vervoer. The fleet consisted of four trucks at the time.
Since then, the business has expanded consistently, and today, the ACV Group of Companies consists of Anton Conradie Vervoer, ACV Shot blasting Services, and ACV Brandstof.
Although we have diversified into fields other than transport, the company still runs as a family business with a hands-on approach in everything we do.

The sandblasting was initially started for the sole purpose of preparing ACV vehicles and trailers for proper maintenance and respraying.
ACV Brandstof
In 2013, ACV acquired Robertson Diesel and renamed it to ACV Brandstof (Pty Ltd)
Our fleet of Mercedes Benz vehicles consists of:
- Tautliner superlink trailers – 34 to 36 tons
- Flatbed superlink trailers – 34 to 36 tons
- Refrigerated triaxles- 30 pallets (28 tons)
- Wine tanker triaxles – 33 000 – 38 000 liters
- Eight-ton rigid trucks with drawbar trailers (up to 18 tons)
- Tippers – Rear and side tippers

Our head office is on Rietvlei farm in the beautiful Klaasvoogds West Valley near Robertson. The farm serves as the base from where we conduct the transport and shot blasting. The offices and workshops are also on the farm.
The transport operation covers a broad spectrum of transportation services. Its focal areas are the transportation of wine, fruit, part-loads, and building materials in the Western Cape Region. We also service the wine industry of the Western Cape by transporting bulk wine in insulated stainless steel tankers.
We are very proud of our employees, whom we regard as our company’s greatest asset. We invest significant time and energy into their well-being through personal development programs and continuous training.
Maintenance on our vehicles occurs in-house, but we outsource major services and fitness tests to Mercedes-Benz accredited workshops, enabling us to minimize breakdowns and downtime. We also have backup vehicles to ensure that our customers’ cargo is delivered on time, every time.
All our vehicles have 24-hour satellite tracking and cameras, and we have GIT insurance of up to R1 500 000 per conveyance on a first-loss basis. We arrange additional GIT coverage upon request.

ACV Shot Blasting Services
The sandblasting was initially started for the sole purpose of preparing ACV vehicles and trailers for proper maintenance and respraying.
We soon realized that there was a huge market for sandblasting in the BAR Valley and thus ACV Shotblasting was born.
Currently we do, apart from Sandblasting, also Shotblasting and Beadblasting at our premises as well as onsite at our clients with a mobile unit.
We are also making us of eco-friendly dust reducing abrasives such as titanium slag, organic abrasives (peach and apricot gritt), and glass beads for polished finishes on stainless steel and aluminium surfaces.
We are also able to offer clients in the food and beverage industries the newest technology in dust free and eco-friendly surface preparation with “Sponge-Jet” blasting which reduces dust and contamination by 90 percent.

ACV Brandstof
In 2003 Robertson Diesel was acquired and renamed as ACV Brandstof (PTY Lty.)
BP diesel, oil and paraffin is sold to the general public and especially heavy vehicles and the farming community.
The facility in Adderley Street Robertson is especially accessible and only 300 meters from the R62 main road in Robertson.
ACV Brandstof also delivers diesel in bulk to farms and other businesses who have their own storage facilities.
The business has grown to such an extent that it is currently the biggest supplier of diesel fuel in Robertson and is in the process of relocating to new premisses.
